Usage at pool startup

Ease your pool startup

Ease you pool startup in the spring by following a few simple advices.
Remove the solid residues at the bottom of the pool using the vacuum with the filter selector in the “drain” position to prevent filter contamination.

Next, verify that the filter is clean and that water flow is efficient.

Regardless of the apparent condition of the water, sterilize it with a shock treatment.  Use either a commercially available shock treatment or 2 to 4 cups of regular chlorine.  Dissolve in hot water and disperse it throughout the pool

When the chlorine begins to act, start the filtering and let it run until the water is clear.  Proceed to frequent backwashes following the manufacturer’s recommendations.
After 48 hours, check and correct alkalinity and PH.  Recommended levels are 7.2 to 7.8 for PH and 80 to 120ppm for alkalinity.

Use the provided chart to evaluate the proper quantity of product for your pool size.  Pour a dose of Crystalline H2O in your skimmer and dissolve a supplemental dose in hot water that you will disperse in the pool.  Take note that a second dose is only required at the pool startup and closure. Only 4 grams per 10000 liters are required.
